Although research shows that 93 percent of schools have libraries, these are empty or even if stocked, the books are obsolete, making such libraries outdated.
In 2015, Seedtime Foundation set up a school library at Ajegunle Primary School, Agege in Lagos State, Nigeria. This is in addition to weekly reading clubs in five different locations to boost reading. Three more primary school libraries are underway in 2018, with more plans to build and equip many more in future. In order to strike a balance between intellectual acquisition through reading and child wellbeing, we also plan to install playground equipment in three public primary schools in 2018.
In 2017, the organization donated a hundred school uniforms to students in public schools with a plan to raise the figure to at least two hundred and fifty uniforms for 250 children in 2018.
In order to achieve these plans, we invite you to come on board as your financial donations will make a huge difference.
